Carey Bailey, DVM
Owner Veterinarian
Dr. Bailey graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. She started Tobias Veterinary Services, named after her beloved boxer Toby, out of the back of her Chevrolet Suburban in 2013. When she isn't working, her two kids, three cats, two dogs (Jorja is pictured above), horse, donkey and miniature horse, keep her busy! She is also an avid runner who squeezes in time for the gym and a good book once in a while. Dr. Bailey and her boyfriend Charlie also like to travel as much as they can!
Laura Kotinsley, DVM, MS
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Kotinsley graduated from the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and a Master's Degree in Public Health. She and her husband have two young boys, a rescued Pit Bull named Duffy, and two red footed tortoises. In her spare time, Dr. Kotinsley enjoys crafting, cooking, listening to music, and going to the beach with family and friends.
Ari Miller, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Ari Miller graduated from the University of Florida college of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She started her career in Ocala, then worked her way back up to Gainesville. She joined the Tobias team in January of 2021. Dr. Miller has a professional interest in dermatology, and it is also very important to her to build long lasting, trusting relationships with her clients and their pets. She is also dedicated to providing high-quality end of life care for her patients, in the comfort of their own homes. Dr. Miller has a husband and two young girls, as well as three rambunctious cats. When she is not working, she and her husband love visiting family and traveling with their girls. Dr. Miller has been an avid singer from a very young age, absolutely loves karaoke, and spends time recording as often as she can.
Kathy Vliet, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Kathy Vliet joined our team in July of 2022. She has been a veterinarian for over 26 years, and has worked in the Gainesville area the entire time. She is an avid horse lover and rider, and has also been a veterinarian for the Iditarod sled dogs several times. There will be more information to come on Dr. Vliet!
Richard J. Sammy, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Sammy joined Tobias Veterinary Services in late 2022 after 18 years of exceptional patient care at his prior employer. He is a 2004 graduate with high honors from the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Previously Dr. Sammy graduated from the College of Engineering at UF (BSME) and he worked in the petroleum industry for 8 years prior to attending graduate school. His areas of professional interest include general surgery, internal medicine, and endocrinology. Dr. Sammy resides in Gainesville with his wife Michele, and their children Katherine and Will. During his spare time Dr. Sammy enjoys exercising, reading, and numerous home building projects. His four-legged family currently consists of his Portuguese water dog Cal and the family cat Joey.

Dr. Kelly Bullett joined our team in December of 2022. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and began her career in upstate New York. She and her husband share their home with their two young daughters, a lively bulldog named Hank, and two beloved cats named London and Savannah. Outside of work she spends time playing board games, doing puzzles, and taking walks with her family every evening.
